Abantu for Global Equity is an organization committed to advocating for gender equity, diversity, economic inclusion, and the eradication of gender-based violence and femicide through an intersectional approach.
We collaborate with like-minded organizations to build an egalitarian society where all citizens have access to economic opportunities, food security, decent living conditions, and the ability to lead productive lives, breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
Our work includes undertaking economic inclusion pilot projects in rural communities to discourage labor migration, which often disrupts African and Black family structures. The social consequences of labor migration, such as family dysfunctionality, are significant and need to be addressed through sustainable local development initiatives.
Through strategic collaboration with traditional leadership, faith-based organizations, and other elements of the social capital ecosystem, we aim to enhance project success by fostering community buy-in and leveraging resources effectively.
